OBSERVEART

GLOBAL ART ADVISORY FIRM

Ethics

All employees and associates of Observe Art™ abide by a strict code of conduct and code of ethics.  Generally, we follow the same principles one would expect of any legal representative – including duties of candor and avoiding any conflicts of interest.  Included in these we:

  • Do not accept financial compensation that creates a conflict of interest with our clients.
  • Do not perform services that would be, or appear to be, adverse to the interests of our clients unless those services are fully disclosed to the client and the client provides advance consent to the services, in writing.
  • Do not maintain inventory for sale or accept artwork on consignment as a private gallery for our clients.
  • Maintain lawful practices, complying with state and federal laws in taxation, exercising due diligence in researching the provenance of recommended acquisitions, and refusing any requests by clients or vendors to subvert the law in any fashion.
  • Do not accept, trade, nor service any work that is known or discovered to be stolen, looted, confiscated, seized, or “WWII/Nazi art,” or if discovered with false or fraudulent provenance or documentation of any kind; we report the same to authorities when discovered for proper disposition.
  • Do not solicit or accept compensation from service providers or vendors.

Lastly, all obligations of Observe Art™ to our Member Client’s are always spelled out in great detail in any legal agreements with our client’s relevant to the particular services offered.  Unless and until such an agreement is executed, our default Liability Terms and Conditions apply.
